Fashion & Textiles for a Sustainable Future
The Future with Nerida Hansen Creative
Nerida Hansen is joining the call to action for all brands worldwide to not just re-think, but re-model the way we produce, purchase and discard textiles and textile related products. One of the key strategies for textile businesses to lean into the sustainability movement is for us to only product what is needed on demand. This significantly reduces over-use of valuable natural resources. Printing-on-demand plays a signficant role in this strategy.
What is Print on Demand?
Print on Demand is how we now manufacture our beautiful products. It means we only print your fabrics AFTER you purchase the designs and fabrics you want.
Unless we are advertising remnants or sample fabrics, Print-On-Demand means we don't carry any inventory.
The Only Downside to Print-On-Demand Fabrics with Nerida Hansen is the wait time. But we guarantee your wait will be worth it!
3 ways to make the change
How Nerida Hansen Fabrics has become more sustainable:
- 95% Print-On-Demand with the 5% inventory only accounting for remnants, excess or sampling. This approach contributes to a Significant Reduction in Textile Waste
- 90% of our Cottons are GOTS Certified Organic, moving toward 100% by the end of 2024
- Only using Cellulose fibres such as Ecovero and Tencel Linen that are sourced from Replenish-able Forests
- Creation of a New Sustainability Directions Manifest to help identify and implement new measures toward a fully earth and people-friendly practices across the entire business including the supply chain.
