Artist Profile : Sheree Smith

Sheree lives in Jervis Bay, on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, Australia with her husband and two
kids.

​In her first home, Sheree Found herself making art to fill her blank walls.  Now painting has become a means of self-care and personal growth, used also as a mindfulness exercise away from her "other job" where she cares for people exposed to trauma.

Sheree’s work explores the simplicity of repetitive mark-making, capturing
moments in time. Lines of experiences, adventures and explorations that are
etched into her memories.

Nerida was drawn to Sheree's artwork for her mark-making and beautiful colour pallets. The marks translate beautifully on textile as a unique geometric design with warmth and texture.
