About the Day
Nerida's Big Sewing Day Out is the ultimate sewing experience: a festival of creativity, camaraderie, and couture.
Participants get to create a new garment for their wardrobe that they will cherish forever, with an option of 4 Nerida Hansen Sewing Patterns including the new Jolie Dress, Katarina Dress or Remnant Top.
The focus is on fun and connection, where we will swap stories, tips, and build lasting connections with fellow sewing enthusiasts in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
Event Highlights

The Katarina Dress or Skirt
This irresistible Dress has a Shirred Bodice and long tiered skirt to make the Perfect Summer Dress. It can be mixed and matched or made out of a singular Fabric. To ensure you finish your Katarina Dress on the day, we will send you your Shirred Piece prior, OR you can nominate for us to do it for you. You can choose on the day whether you want to use your shirring for a Katarina Skirt, by simply using your Bodice piece as a waistband.

Terms & Conditions
1. Registration and Payment:
Tickets are to be purchased at www.neridahansen.com.au
Payment is by Credit Card, Paypal or Afterpay.
2. Inclusions
The Event includes fabrics, notions and sewing patterns for one garment. Extra fabrics, sewing patterns can be purchased from our vendors on the day.
All Catering including All-day Tea, Coffee, Water, Lunch, Canapes are included. 2 Alcholic Beverages Per person and non-alcoholic Beverages are are included post event from 5 - 6.00pm.
Sewing Machines are not included - you must BYO Sewing Machine or arrange with us to Hire One.
3. Cancellation and Refunds:
Cancellations are not permitted unless we can find another buyer for your ticket, in which case your ticket will be fully refunded within 14 days after we receive full payment from the new ticket-holder.
You may sell your ticket privately and transfer the name of the ticket at no cost.
In the unlikely event of Cancellation or Postponement, we do not offer any compensation for loss of accommodation or transport costs. Reasons for cancellation may include not enough participants to run the event, unexpected illness by hosts or event management, Venue cancellation or other reasons out of our control.
Where postponement occurs, a refund will be provided to attendees who cannot make the date.
4. Liability and Waiver:
We have a $20M Public Liability Insurance Policy, but do not take any responsibility for any injuries, accidents, or losses that may occur during the event that are not covered under our Policy.
By purchasing a ticket to Nerida's Big Sewing Day Out you are accepting and acknowledging these risks.
5. Code of Conduct:
We expect all participants to act in a courteous and kind manner. We are an inclusive event, and welcome everyone, and will not tolerate Discriminatory comments or behaviour. Participants displaying such behaviour will be asked to leave without a refund.
6. Intellectual Property:
- Nerida Hansen owns the intellectual property rights to any designs or patterns provided during the event.
- All patterns used during the event are for personal use only, and may not be used to manufacture or teach others outside the events without consent from Nerida Hansen.
7. Photography and Media:
Photographs or videos will be taken during the event to be used across social media channels, publicity and print media for for promotional purposes. Participants who do not wish to appear in any form of social or print media will be able to nominate their exclusion from all photos.
8. Event Changes:
By Purchasign a ticket to Nerida's Big Sewing Day Out you are acknowledging the organisers right make changes to the event schedule, instructors, or materials if necessary.
9. Privacy Policy:
Attendees information will be collected, stored, and used for event purposes only, and will comply with all relevant data protection laws.
